Relaxing, non-invasive, completely pain free and safe for all skin types (unless you are aware that you have photosensitivity to light in which case you should know) repeated use has been shown to increase the desired effect. Not only has skin been noted to display a more youthful appearance, feel more hydrated and look positvely glowing,  skin imperfections and signs of aging, acne, rosacea, psoriasis, eczema, pigmentation and lines and even wrinkles have also been reported to benefit from continued application.

How does the mask work?

Light therapy is medically recognised and is clinically proven, with independent studies of over 40 years. Documenting its postive therapeutic values in the treatment of a variety of physical and emotional disorders. Undoubtedly scientific research has shown that certain wavelengths of light encourage specific healing functions hence the 7 colours of LED technology used in the mask  offers different/greater benefits to the skin as follows:-

BLUE LIGHT : Impacts the surface tissue of the skin, targeting and killing acne bacteria, soothing skin and controlling oil production, leaving skin looking softer and more purified. The sebaceosous glands become calmer and oil/sebum production is minimised. The appearance of acne conditions is decreased and  scar healing is improved.

GREEN LIGHT : Impacts the surface tissue of the skin helping to control hyperpigmentation and fade away sun damage. Skin concerns such as discolouration, age spots, freckling and other pigmentation problems can all be addressed.

ORANGE LIGHT : Impacts the soft tissue of the skin aiding the  reduction of  redness and flushing and is ideal for rosacea sufferers as well as addressing skin irritation, UV damaged skin and such challenges caused through laser resurfacing, chemical peels, exfoliation, microdermabrasion, botox and dermal fillers. Application works to calm,  sooth and improve radiance to the skin including its texture and clarity.

RED LIGHT : Impacts the soft tissue of the skin aiding improvement to the skin firmness and radiance, helping to reduce inflammation and even the appearance of lines and wrinkles. It is ideal in addressing UV and lifestyle damaged skin, moderate to deep visible wrinkles, loss of skin firmness as well as loss of radiance and uneven skin texture.

Application works in improving facial lines and wrinkles, skins radiance, firmness  texture and clarity and is also effective in helping to combate the emergance of inflammatory acne conditions.

INFRARED LIGHT : Not visible to the human eye, it penetrates 1 to 1 1/2 inches  into the skin, not only amplifying the treatment but aiding as a further boost when used alongside other LED colours. Application is usually used to aid in the treatment of wrinkles and other problems caused by poor skin support, such as translucent  or coarse skin.

How often can I have treatments?

The light does not emit any harmful UVA, UVB or Microwaves and is not a Laser, which means users require zero downtime or recovery time after a session. Recommendations within a clinic setting suggest repeating treatments at least once or twice weekly, continuing for as long as required. Additionally excellarated results can be achieved through supplementing the treatments or continue follow on treatments through the purchase or your own ‘at home’ mask. The 20 minute sessions can then be extended to once or twice a day for at least the first 6-8 weeks and as desired thereafter.

I was referred to Caroline as I am bi polar and my prescribed medication wasn't helping the worst part of my illness, the depressions. I had a bunch of sessions with the light pads and found they really helped lift my mood. I purchased the light mask when it came out and use it regularly if I'm too high or low. I'd say it's improved my condition by 80 per cent which I think is brilliant. Thanks Caroline! Douglas Hastings

* LED (light emitting diode) light is nowhere as dense or concentrated as laser but still has the impact to penetrate into the tissues without heating or inflaming them. Increasingly they are becoming more favourable over the cold laser as they give a larger light dispersion beam and allow a greater margin of error in locating and activating a specific area. They are totally safe.
